Iraqi Dance
Sara Al-Hadithi is a multi-faceted artist who draws upon her training in music, dance, and theatre to teach and inspire students from all backgrounds.
A native of Iraq, Sara is the daughter of renowned ethnomusicologist and folklorist Dr. Sadi Al-Hadithi. Growing up surrounded by Iraq’s luminaries in the arts, music, and folklore, Sara received tutoring in various traditional Iraqi folkloric arts from a young age.
In addition to her upbringing, Sara has undergone formal training in the Bedouin folkloric traditions that are deeply rooted in her lineage. This includes immersion in Bedouin language and poetry traditions, enriching her understanding and appreciation of her cultural heritage.
Sara's academic training, combined with her rich cultural background and experiences, has equipped her with a unique perspective and a deep passion for preserving and promoting the beauty and authenticity of Iraqi traditions in the realm of performing arts.
